Compact one-day laparoscopic training for surgery OR assistants a success
On Thursday 7 November the laparoscopic surgery course for OR assistants took place at the Medical Centre Leeuwarden. It was the first time that this training was given in one day; theory and practice were both covered and this turned out to be a welcome variation. It was a tough, but interesting day according to the students. We will include a number of suggestions in the next training. The course was assessed with an 8.6!
Laparoscopic surgery training
LIMIS has developed the laparoscopic surgery training for surgical assistants to cover the requirements of both surgeons and assistants. Surgical assistants gain understanding into how difficult it is to perform laparoscopic operations. This gives them a better picture of the way of providing assistance in the operating room.
