The North of the Netherlands is a leading region for Active & Healthy Ageing
On Monday 1 July the North of the Netherlands was proclaimed in Brussels as a leading region in the area of Active & Healthy Ageing. John Jorritsma, King’s Commissioner in Friesland and chairman of the North Netherlands Cooperation Association, has been informed of this during a meeting with three European Commissioners. The European Commission hereby indicates that the approach of Healthy Ageing by the North of the Netherlands clearly deserves to be followed. It is a recognition of the approach of the major social challenges within healthcare.
