Innovations in Multi-Organ Perfusion Imaging at EMIM 2026

At European Molecular Imaging Meeting 2026 (March 24–27, Ljubljana, Slovenia), our research collaborator from University Medical Center Groningen, Miruna Coraci, presented her work titled:
“Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging for Multi-Organ Perfusion Assessment.”

Using Perfusix-Imaging, this study integrated Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging (LSCI) into a surgical robotic platform to assess perfusion of the small intestine, rectum, and kidney within a single procedure in porcine models. This demonstrates the potential of continuous, dye-free perfusion assessment across multiple organs during surgery.

Great collaboration with our researcher, Tim Hoffman, and the team at UMCG – Schelto Kruijff, Milou Noltes, Sophie Polman, Wido Heeman and Ying Mao.
Congratulations to Miruna and the team on this excellent work!
