PerfusiX-Imaging booth at SAGES 2023 in Montreal
The 2023 Annual Meeting of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) was held in Montreal. It was very exciting for LIMIS and ZiuZ as the PerfusiX-imaging booth showcased our new laparoscopic laser speckle perfusion imaging technology. The booth gathered attention from a host of leading surgeons who expressed keen interest in the PerfusiX-imaging system, paving the way for potential collaborations that promise to revolutionize minimally invasive surgery. The booth offered attendees an opportunity to experience firsthand the capabilities of its robust perfusion imaging system. This advanced technique enables real-time visualization of blood flow in gastrointestinal tissues, providing surgeons with valuable insights during surgeries. Surgeons were impressed with the system’s ease of use and its potential to enhance their decision-making process during procedures like esophagectomy, colon resections, gastric bypass, and other gastrointestinal surgeries. Discussions revolved around the possibility of incorporating the technology into clinical studies, sharing expertise, and further refining the system’s capabilities through real-world applications in the US and Canada.
